Was fine for me but my friend had this issue so I edited his AppData\Local\Subnautica2\Saved\Config\Windows\GameUserSettings.ini and it was fine on next load.

ResolutionSizeX=2560

ResolutionSizeY=1440

LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeX=2560

LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeY=1440

My goat!

One addition - you need to also edit the following lines:

DesiredScreenWidth=2560
DesiredScreenHeight=1440
LastUserConfirmedDesiredScreenWidth=2560
LastUserConfirmedDesiredScreenHeight=1440

Then it switches in the settings to the desired resolution. Otherwise not.

Obviously i should have looked into the AppData folder but it didn't come to my mind in that moment because i thought these pre-installed games would have all the important .ini files inside the install folder lol.

Thank you very much!
