if i were to download the game and it got updated would the game i downloaded also get updated or do i need to download the newer version

For anyone who wants to transfer their skins, settings and mods to the new updated version (since in this updated crack, the skin creator is disabled), do this:

1. Go to the UserData folder in the Hytale.v15.01.2026 Update (The Old Version) and copy the CachedPlayerSkins folder, Mods folder and Settings.json file
   

   

2. Go inside the UserData folder in the Hytale.v17.01.2026 Update (The NEW Version) and paste! (P.S. If there already exists a "Cached Player Skins" Folder inside the UserData folder, either delete it or delete the JSON file inside the folder. If the Settings.json file asks you to replace, do it).

   
   

3. Run Launcher.bat in the new version and enjoy! (P.S. In this updated crack, you CANNOT edit your skin in the Skin Creator (My Avatar) as it is disabled. It will say you're in offline mode for some reason. I think you need Online Fix to put the game in Online Mode to enable it, but I'm not sure. Try it and see. For those playing Single Player like me though, this will work for sure).

   
   You can delete the old Hytale (v15.01.2026) if you want.

btw, if anyone is trying to port their saves from previous versions and it doesn't work you have to change your UUID (Universally Unique Identifier) to the one you used with the world your trying to play on

Go to the Launcher.bat or OnlineFix.ini of the old Hytale version (13012026 or 15012026) and copy the old UUID and paste that in the new versions (17012026) _Launcher.bat file by pressing right click on the .bat file, edit, and then you can find the UUID there. Replace your new UUID with the old one and you should be set, should also set your username to the old one that you used just in case I guess.

I hope this info helps somebody in the future

This is really helpful but wouldn't playing on the same world with the new update, corrupt it? I swear the devs recommend for us to play on newer worlds.
