I got a save from the first version they released and it hasn't corrupted rn, probably because the changes rn are not major, once they start making some big updates it will probably corrupt. They recommend playing on new worlds cuz chunks you have already loaded can't be updated, that means that new content that is added (like the new mobs in Zone 4) won't be added to the chunks you already walked through. That's why u gotta always backup your saves before adding/removing mods or porting your save to another version as a good rule of thumb.

Gotta try the Online Fix. I haven't tried it myself as I only play Single Player and made my skin in the older version of Hytale (15/1/26) and just transferred it to the new update.

you can't, and plus if you did you can't customize your character with anything anyway, something something the protection for the avatar creator is more than the actual game itself lol

theres a few ways to get around tho although they are tedious and I recommend getting a online fix me version anyway just so you can access the character creator atleast, where all of the cosmetics are locked but if you select something and then press undo a few times you can keep the item you previewed before, kinda hard to explain but its better than relaunching every single time to look at your character.

but as for how you actually change your avatar heres a whole guide for it that I followed, works pretty nicely.

I may have a better solution to this problem.

What if someone uses the 15.01.26 update/version to access the skin creator to edit/change their skin, then transfer the CachedPlayerSkins folder from the UserData folder, to the new 17.01.26 update/version? It would be much easier and less of a mental hassle. They can keep the old version of Hytale JUST to be able to change/edit their skins and transfer the files to the newer updates (if in the future we still can't fix the "My Avatar/Skin Creator" being disabled/requiring online for the cracks/pirated copies).

I believe it should work. I haven't changed my skin when the 17.01.26 update came out. All I did was just move the files. If someone has the old 15.01.26 version, can you test this? Thank you.

EDIT: The 15.01.26 Update MUST be from DicDale. I tried others cracks from other trusted sites and they all seem to be different or do some stupid tomfoolery. As a result, they didn't work when I transferred the files (from my testing).

@DicDale Hey sorry to bother you but do you still have the old 15.01.26 build available so I can test this?

You can use the old Online fix but it will reset the game the an old update.

We need to wait for a new Online fix for the new Update i guess.

The only launcher that I found to work on mac: https://github.com/yyyumeniku/HyPrism I think its safe just not sure, the developer said hes going to add an online fix as soon as a stable method is found.

In the meantime, does anyone know how to get the mac version of hytale in online mode manually? All I see is windows tutorials.

That's why I trust DicDale and this site with my life. Everybody tries to do some dumb tomfoolery. One of the launchers LITERALLY removes components from the game (the entire skin editor). I think it was called HyPrism or something.
