February 9Feb 9 Hello. I hope I don't come across as annoying for the question I'm about to make. I downloaded the Greedfall file from Vikingfile and I got a security warning as well as when I tried to open the .exe file. I'm sure there is nothing wrong with the files and they are relatively safe but I just want to know if the files are up to date and safe to download. I downloaded House Flipper 2 prior to downloading this game and didn't get any safety warnings.
August 23Aug 23 Probably false positive but just to be safe click download server(V1ikingFile etc.) 3 times before double checking that the file size on the V1kingFile website match the one on ZeiGames, if it does then there's nothing to worry. Adding to the first sc I included from the FAQ section I wouldn't recommend disabling anti-virus at any point, I would instead recommend creating folder for all of the games you download and then adding that folder to the exclusion so anti-virus doesn't bombard you with false positives every time BUT do that ONLY if you download from trusted sources or the sources you personally trust. I'm on Win10 so it should look like this: Search for Virus & Threat protection > scroll until you find "Virus & Threat protection settings" click on Manage Settings > scroll down until you find Exclusions > Add the folder you want to exclude. Again do it only if you download from trusted sources!!!
